PRAYING FOR MANCHESTER
via Bible

"On hearing the news, my thought went immediately to Psalm 91 — the Psalm of protection and comfort which has cared for so many people in extreme circumstances throughout the years.

It brings a clear sense of evil never being able to overcome good, of death never being able to overcome Life, of hatred never being able to overcome Love, of ignorance never being able to overcome intelligence.  Whether we're in the middle of the events, or looking on in distress, we have the “everlasting arms of Love” around us to comfort and guide us as we respond to these events.

Nothing can in truth ever separate us or those we love from the Love of God, as Paul says in his Epistle to the Romans (8:35-39) —

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?…For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
