Continuing to pray with Manchester
via Bible

"In praying about the news of what took place in Manchester this week, I turned to the Bible for inspiration for my heartfelt prayer, and I realised that throughout the centuries the Bible has been the source of comfort for those in need of peace, strength, and protection.

Opening my Bible it opened to Psalm 91. The Bible tells us that "God is Love", so this Psalm shows what divine Love is doing for mankind and brings a tenderness, comfort and reassurance needed at this time. This is how I have been praying the Psalm with God as divine Love:

"He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High (the consciousness of divine Love's care), shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of divine Love, 'Love is my refuge and my fortress: in divine love will I trust. Surely Love shall deliver me and all of us from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. Love shall cover us with His feathers, and under Love's wings shall we trust: the truth of divine Love shall be our shield and buckler. We shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday... Because we have made divine Love, which is our refuge, even the most High, our habitation; There shall no evil befall us, neither shall any plague come nigh our dwelling. For divine Love shall give His angels charge over us, to keep us in all thy ways."

How safe we are in the care of God, divine Love!"
