Wednesday Testimony Meeting:
Every week we hold a meeting in the church and online, at 7.30pm which begins with a selection of citations from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science, on a topic chosen by the First Reader. The second part of the meeting is open to Christian Scientists to share accounts of healings of every sort, which have resulted from their study and practice of this science. A couple of verses from Psalm 75 describe the fundamental purpose of these meetings: "All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;"

The subject of this week's Lesson-Sermon is, 'Soul and Body.'
Two citations give a flavour of what this lesson is about. From the Bible:'....glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. (I Corinthians 6 20); and from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, (76) 'The sinless joy, - the perfect harmony and immortality of Life, possessing unlimited divine beauty and goodness without a single bodily pleasure or pain, - constitutes the only veritable, indestructible man, whose being is spiritual.'
The lesson explains how this can be understood and demonstrated.
