This week

Sunday Services take place at 10:30am, at our Church Building. This service is on Sunday, 12 July 2020.

Wednesday Testimony Meeting:

Every week we hold a meeting, currently online only, at 8pm which begins with a selection of citations from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science, on a topic chosen by the First Reader. The second part of the meeting is open to Christian Scientists to share accounts of healings of every sort, which have resulted from their study and practice of this science. A couple of verses from Psalm 75 describe the fundamental purpose of these meetings: "All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;"

The Sunday Service:

The subject of this week's Lesson-Sermon is, 'Sacrament.'

Two citations give a flavour of what this lesson is about - from the Bible: '...We are journeying unto the place of which the Lord said, I will give it you:' (Numbers 10:29). And from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, (41) "Like our Master, we must depart from material sense into the spiritual sense of being."

The lesson explains how this can be understood and demonstrated.

You are very welcome to join us online on Sunday morning at 10.30 when the whole lesson will be read as the sermon. A recording of the service will be available on our website until Wednesday evening.
