Sunday Services take place at 10:30am. This service is on Sunday, 15 July 2018.

The Wednesday testimony meetings provide valuable opportunities for Christian Scientists to share, and express gratitude for healings they have experienced as a result of studying Christian Science. They are also valuable opportunities for all of us to hear of these encouraging experiences. Several teenage suicides have prompted the readings this week on dealing with depression. Do join us either in the church or online through the Zoom system, and do consider sharing your experiences.

The Sunday Service:

This week Christian Scientists are studying the subject of ’God’.  A couple of citations from the first section of the lesson give a flavour of what it’s about.

From Psalm 93: “….thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.” And from Psalm 30: “O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.”

And from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy: “Spirit is the real and eternal; matter is the unreal and temporal. Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness. Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual.”

You are very welcome to join us online on Sunday morning at 10.30 when the whole of this uplifting lesson will be read as part of the service.
