Services & Meetings

Sunday Services take place at 10:30am. This service is on Sunday, 8 July 2018.

The Wednesday testimony meetings provide valuable opportunities for Christian Scientists to share, and express gratitude for healings they have experienced as a result of studying Christian Science. They are also valuable opportunities for all of us to hear of these encouraging experiences. Do join us either in the church or online through the Zoom system, and do consider sharing your experiences.

The Sunday Service:

This week Christian Scientists are studying the subject of ’Sacrament’. The following citations from the first section of the lesson give a flavour of what it’s about.

From Isaiah 58: “Is not this the fast that I have chosen? To loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out into thy house? ….Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily:”

And from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy: “The substance of all devotion is the reflection and demonstration of divine Love, healing sickness and destroying sin. Our Master said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”” “What we most need is the prayer of fervent desire for growth in grace, expressed in patience, meekness, love, and good deeds.”

You are very welcome to join us online on Sunday morning at 10.30 when the whole of this uplifting lesson will be read as part of the service.
