"Sometimes when the news pours in on us like a flood it’s hard to know immediately how to respond spiritually to all we’re bombarded with.
Confusion and anger seem to blind the world to spiritual solutions. There’s a lovely verse in Isaiah where God promises to bring the blind “by a way that they knew not.”
It continues “I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things I will do unto them, and not forsake them.”
As I thought about this whirlwind of disturbing news I also thought of that line in Deuteronomy which goes “He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.”
These are promises we can hold to in these exceptionally testing times. "
