The Christian Science Monitor is a newspaper which in the words of Alfred Farlow, "...has no other purpose than to advocate strict adherence to right." (Letter to Committees on Publication, October 16, 1908) "Right" for the Monitor has always required striving for the dissemination of news and opinion free from bias or slant. Reading the news from this perspective provides us with an uncluttered viewpoint from which we can pray about issues in the world to bring healing.
